Recently, eight children of the Somawathi Home were reunited with their families .They are Sadeepa,  Semini, Nanyani, Vajiri, Hashini, Dulani, Dileema and Rashan.

Transparency Award 2009 granted to Sri Lanka Orphanage Foundation.

On October 6, Mr. Alexander Rinnooy Kan has awarded in the New Church in the Hague the Transparency Award 2009. From the 200 entries the Sri Lanka Orphanage Foundation was nominated for the award in the category "small" charitable institutions and has won the first prize consisting of a wonderful award and a donation of 10.000 euro.
